Huddersfield Salon: Throw open the borders? Is it time for a radical response to immigration? Tuesday 10th November
Immigration into the UK is now greater than it has ever been, and yet the discussion around it is mealy-mouthed and one-dimensional. The government says immigrants are good for the economy whilst opponents say they take British jobs. But immigration is too important a matter to be left to the economists and it's about time we put it back at the centre of a debate about values and principles.
